Early Life & Education

Malam Isyaku Mustapha Danraka was born on 10th January 1972 in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State. From a very young age, he began his Islamic Qur'anic education, a foundation that shaped his discipline and values. He later attended L.E.A Rafin-Albasa for his primary education and Al-Huda-Huda College, Zaria, for his secondary education.

Driven by a passion for learning and development, he proceeded to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he studied Urban and Regional Planning (URP) and obtained his Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (B.URP) in the year 2000. His quest for knowledge led him back to ABU Zaria, where he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and later a Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Urban Management in 2005 and 2013 respectively.

Professional Career

Upon graduation, he fulfilled his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) assignment at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), where he served as an Assistant Planning Officer from 2000 to 2001. Through hard work and exceptional performance, he rose through the ranks and is currently a Deputy Director in the Urban & Regional Planning Department of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). He also serves as the Zonal Land Coordinator of Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

With a strong passion for professional excellence, he has contributed significantly to major projects promoting sustainable development, orderly human settlements, and the protection of the Abuja Master Plan. He has been a key member of several committees addressing planning challenges within the FCT, including the Enumeration & Relocation Committee, the Adhoc Committee on Area Council Title Verification, the Committee on the Redesign of the Inland Container Terminal, and the Committee on the New City in Bwari (FHA) Projects 2015, among others.

A respected practitioner, he is currently a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (FNITP). His travels to countries such as Benin, Brazil, China, Egypt, Germany, Malaysia, Niger, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, Togo, Turkey, UAE, USA, UK, and Qatar have broadened his global perspective and strengthened his capacity to respond to contemporary planning issues.

Foundation History

iDanraka Care Foundation

iDanraka Care Foundation is an independent, non-governmental organization devoted to uplifting communities and restoring dignity to individuals across all stages of life. Guided by a deep sense of humanity and compassion, the Foundation works actively in education, healthcare, skills training, sports development, environmental protection, and assistance to people with special needs.

Although officially established on Friday, 19th May 2023 under the leadership of Malam Isyaku Mustapha Danraka, the spirit of the Foundation began years earlier through his personal acts of service. His quiet generosity, deep empathy, and unwavering commitment to community well-being laid the foundation for what has now grown into a structured, impactful humanitarian organization.

In the last two years, iDanraka Care Foundation has touched countless lives. The Foundation currently sponsors over seventy (70) orphans, fully covering their school fees from enrollment to graduation. It has built classrooms and mosque facilities that continue to serve entire communities, and has trained more than one thousand (1,000) young men and women in practical skills within two years.

The Foundation has also trained 2,200 female students drawn from 22 senior secondary schools across Zaria in producing household consumables, and recently concluded the SkillHer Project which trained 50 women in cybersecurity, graphic design, AI video and bots creation, and soft skills. Additionally, over three thousand (3,000) secondary school students have been trained in entrepreneurship skills.

Today, iDanraka Care Foundation has grown into a respected humanitarian force with measurable impact across Nigeria, contributing significantly to reducing social vices, drug abuse, unemployment, and insecurity by equipping young people with opportunities for growth and responsible citizenship.
